Yosemite National Park, California

Yosemite Ski & Snowboard Area at Badger Pass

Opened in 1935, Badger Pass is one of California's oldest operating ski areas and one of only a small number of lift-served ski areas located inside a US National Park. It installed the first chairlift-type uplift in the American West (the 'Queen Mary' Upski, 1936) and remains a small, low-key, family/beginner-oriented day-use area rather than a destination resort.
