Tsaghkadzor

Tsaghkadzor is Armenia's principal ski resort, on the slopes of Mount Teghenis about 60 km northeast of Yerevan, and served as a Soviet-era Olympic training center. A series of consecutive Leitner-built chairlifts climbs from around 1,969 m to the 2,819 m summit, with additional trails and a lift added on an opposite hilltop in 2006. The season typically runs mid-December to March, with top-mountain skiing sometimes possible into April.
