Poiana Brașov

Poiana Brașov is Romania's most popular and second-largest ski resort, set on the forested slopes of the Postăvaru Massif a short drive from the medieval city of Brașov in the Southern Carpathians. It offers seven main slopes for all ability levels, served by cable cars, chairlifts and ski-lifts, with the longest run (Drumul Roșu) stretching over 5 km. The resort typically holds snow cover from mid-November to mid-March and hosted alpine skiing, figure skating and short track events at the 2013 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival. Its lift and piste network was substantially modernized during the 2010s.
