Pillán (Volcán Villarrica)

Centro Pillán is the ski area on the northern slopes of the active Villarrica volcano above Pucón in Chile's Araucanía Region — a distinct operating ski business from the volcano/summit itself. Skiers ride lifts partway up an active, steaming volcano with lake and forest views, and the resort area also serves as the standard access route for volcano-summit ascents. It is operated by Andacor S.A., the same company behind El Colorado, Farellones and the Volcán Osorno ski center.
