Ötztal, Tyrol, Austria · Independent
Obergurgl-Hochgurgl is one of the highest-altitude ski resorts in the Alps, with lifts reaching 3,030 m at the head of the Ötztal valley in Tyrol. Snow-sure from mid-November to early May thanks to its elevation, it is known for wide, uncrowded groomed pistes rather than extreme terrain, making it popular with families and intermediate cruisers. The resort links the villages of Obergurgl (1,930 m) and Hochgurgl (2,150 m) via the panoramic Top Express gondola.
