Mount Field National Park, Tasmania, Australia
One of Australia's smallest and most historic ski fields, established in 1958 in Mount Field National Park about 90 minutes from Hobart. It is run entirely by volunteers from seven affiliated ski clubs and operates on rope tows only, reached by a roughly 20-minute walk from the car park. Day tickets are notably inexpensive compared with mainland Australian resorts.
