Malam Jabba

Malam Jabba is a ski resort in the Swat Valley of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, developed with Austrian assistance and opened in 1980 as the country's first ski resort. Its original chairlift and facilities were destroyed by Taliban militants in 2008; the resort was rebuilt, with a new 800 m chairlift inaugurated in 2016 and a five-star Pearl-Continental hotel added in 2020. Terrain is compact and centered on a single lift-served run, with the broader mountain reaching about 2,804 m, and the resort now operates as both a winter ski destination and a year-round tourist attraction.
