Vayots Dzor, Armenia

Jermuk Ski Resort

Jermuk Ski Resort is a small, high-altitude ski area southeast of the spa town of Jermuk in Armenia's Vayots Dzor province, better known internationally for its mineral springs and canyon scenery than for skiing. A single cableway (roughly 900m long) serves about 3km of mostly beginner and lower-intermediate terrain between a 2,100m base and 2,438m summit, giving a modest 338m vertical drop. The lift's first phase has been fully renovated, and a second-phase expansion is reportedly underway to grow the resort's winter-sports capacity. It functions as one of Armenia's secondary winter sports centers, well behind Tsaghkadzor in scale, and pairs naturally with Jermuk's spa-town tourism.
