Oro-Medonte, Ontario, Canada · Independent
An hour north of Toronto in Oro-Medonte, Horseshoe is one of Central Ontario's larger four-season resorts, with 29 marked trails spread across a modest 94-metre vertical and served by eight lifts including a detachable six-person chair. It's especially known for its beginner and family programming — including Ontario's longest beginner conveyor carpet — alongside a terrain park and night skiing. Freed Hotels and Resorts, which also owns Blue Mountain-area and Muskoka properties, has been investing in the resort since acquiring it in 2021.
