Hemsedal is a ski resort in Norway's Hallingdal region, about 220 km northwest of Oslo, and is often cited as the second-largest ski resort in the country. Much of its terrain sits above the tree line beneath the Totten peaks, giving open alpine scenery across roughly 22 lifts and around 44-47 marked slopes. It has been owned and operated by the Swedish company SkiStar since 2000.
