Gore Mountain is the largest ski area in New York State, a sprawling Adirondack complex spread across four connected peaks — Gore, Bear, Burnt Ridge, and Little Gore — linked by the Northwoods Gondola. As one of only three ski areas owned by New York State and run by the Olympic Regional Development Authority, it pairs old-school Adirondack character with real vertical, 27 glade zones, and nearly full-mountain snowmaking. The result is a big, uncrowded mountain that regularly outpunches its name recognition among Northeast skiers.
