Adjara, Georgia

Goderdzi Ski Resort

Goderdzi is Georgia's newest ski development, opened for the 2015–16 season high in the Lesser Caucasus of upper Adjara, roughly 2.5–4 hours by road from Batumi via the scenic Khulo route. Three lifts, including an 8-seat gondola and a 6-seat bubble lift, currently serve around 7–8km of pistes split mostly between easy and intermediate terrain, with a fenced-off 'Enchanted Forest' freeride zone for more advanced skiers. The resort is still early in a much larger masterplan that targets 35km of pistes and 8 lifts at full build-out, backed by hundreds of millions of lari in planned investment — figures that describe the future vision rather than what is operating today. Snowfall is heavy for the region, with winter snowpack commonly cited at 3–4m (up to 6–7m in places), and the resort runs a short daily window (10:00–16:00/17:00) through a roughly mid-December to early-April season.
