Cairnwell Pass, Scottish Highlands, Scotland, United Kingdom

Glenshee Ski Centre

Spread across four separate hills straddling the A93 at Cairnwell Pass in the Scottish Highlands, Glenshee bills itself as Britain's largest snowsports area, with pistes fanning out from Cairnwell, Glas Maol, Meall Odhar and Càrn Aosda. Its 22-lift network and mostly rolling, snow-sure-when-conditions-allow terrain make it a popular weekend destination for skiers and boarders from Perth, Dundee and beyond. Like all Scottish ski areas it is highly weather-dependent, but it stays busy year-round, running its Cairnwell chairlift through summer for hillwalkers and sightseers too.
