Kayseri, Turkey
Turkey's largest ski area, Erciyes climbs the slopes of Mount Erciyes, a dormant volcano overlooking Kayseri in Central Anatolia, about an hour from the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia. Municipally owned and run through Erciyes A.Ş., the resort has invested heavily in snowmaking (154 machines) and lift infrastructure, earning ISO 9001 safety certification and hosting international snow-volleyball events. Its high, dry continental snowpack and long lift-served vertical make it a growing draw for both domestic skiers and visitors combining a ski day with Cappadocia sightseeing.
