Cerro Chapelco Ski Resort

Rising above San Martín de los Andes in Argentine Patagonia, Cerro Chapelco has been a fixture of Neuquén skiing since the 1940s and has hosted FIS Snowboard World Cup Snowboardcross events on its slopes. Recent investment under a new operating concession has expanded its lift network and piste count, with runs winding through native forest down to a base area with lodges, restaurants and a ski school of some 200 instructors. Its position in the Lácar Lake district gives it some of the most scenic lake-and-volcano views of any resort in the Argentine Lake District.
