Changbaishan International Resort (formally the Wanda Changbaishan International Ski Resort) is a large, purpose-built winter destination developed by the Dalian Wanda Group in Fusong County, Jilin Province, near the base of the Changbai Mountains and the town of Erdaobaihe/Changbaishan. It officially opened on November 30, 2012, and has grown into one of the largest ski resorts in China, with 12 lifts — a mix of gondolas, chairlifts, and magic carpets — serving more than 30 km of terrain designed by Ecosign, the Canadian firm behind numerous Olympic ski venues. It is used as a training base for China's national alpine and Nordic (cross-country) ski teams, and the surrounding resort complex includes hotels, an indoor water park, and other four-season attractions typical of Wanda's integrated resort model. The ski season runs from mid-November into April, with night skiing offered, and the resort sits close to Changbaishan Airport, roughly 30 minutes away by car.
