Uri / Graubünden, Switzerland · Epic
Andermatt is a historic Uri valley village whose ski terrain, centered on the famously steep and often lightly-tracked Gemsstock peak, was physically linked to the gentler Sedrun/Disentis sector in Graubünden by new lifts completed in 2022 after a CHF 130 million, decade-long project. The combined SkiArena spans two cantons and pairs Gemsstock's expert/off-piste reputation with wide, family-friendly cruising runs around Nätschen and Oberalp. Vail Resorts' 2022 majority-stake acquisition put it on the Epic Pass, a rarity for a historic Swiss resort.
