Scafell Pike is the highest and most topographically prominent mountain in England, set within the Lake District National Park in Cumbria. Its summit is a boulder-strewn plateau formed from ancient volcanic rock, ringed by crags, and reachable by several well-trodden fell paths from Wasdale, Borrowdale, Langdale, and Eskdale. It's one of the three peaks climbed on the National Three Peaks Challenge and among England's most-climbed mountains, with roughly a quarter-million ascents a year.
