Piton des Neiges
Piton des Neiges is a dormant shield volcano that forms the highest point of Réunion island and the highest point in the entire Indian Ocean. It occupies the northwestern two-thirds of the island and is ringed by three immense volcanic cirques (Salazie, Cilaos, and Mafate).
