Mount Shuksan is a heavily glaciated peak in the North Cascades of Washington State, immediately east of Mount Baker. Its dramatic summit pyramid, reflected in nearby Picture Lake, makes it one of the most photographed mountains in North America. The mountain is composed of metamorphosed oceanic basalt from the Easton terrane, accreted to North America roughly 120 million years ago.

Elevation, prominence, coordinates and first-ascent facts are checked against published references and official sources. Where a fact isn't clearly documented, we show it as unknown rather than estimate.
