Mount Kerinci is an active stratovolcano in the Barisan Mountains of Sumatra, and at 3,805 m it is both the highest point on Sumatra and the highest volcano in Indonesia. It sits within Kerinci Seblat National Park, home to endangered Sumatran tigers, and erupts with near-annual phreatic activity.
