Mount Bona is an ice-covered stratovolcano in the Saint Elias Mountains within Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, and is officially the highest volcano in the United States. It is almost entirely buried under icefields and glaciers, feeding the Klutlan Glacier system, and is often climbed together with its lower neighbor Mount Churchill. As one of the highest peaks in the country outside the main Alaska Range, it is a serious, remote glaciated mountaineering objective reached only by ski-plane.
