Mount Bierstadt is one of Colorado's most accessible 14,000-foot peaks, reached by a straightforward Class 2 trail from Guanella Pass through willow-choked tundra to a broad summit. Its easy access and short round trip make it one of the most heavily climbed 14ers in the state, often used as a first 14er for newcomers, while the connecting Sawtooth ridge to neighboring Mount Blue Sky offers a genuine Class 3 scramble for those wanting more challenge.
