Cerro Mercedario

Cerro Mercedario is the highest peak of the Cordillera de la Ramada and the eighth-highest mountain in the Andes, rising about 100 km north of Aconcagua in Argentina's San Juan Province, within and near El Leoncito National Park. It is a heavily glaciated, high-altitude peak popular as a serious but non-technical (via its standard route) high-altitude objective for experienced trekkers and mountaineers.

Elevation, prominence, coordinates and first-ascent facts are checked against published references and official sources. Where a fact isn't clearly documented, we show it as unknown rather than estimate.
